Installation & Maintenance Instructions for Alaskan Bushwheel Tundra Tailwheel Fork Kit and Heavy Duty Drag Link for the DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver Aircraft Reference Material: DHC-2 Beaver Maintenance Manual, , PSM1-2-2, 1 February 1959, Revised 27 June 1980, Tailwheel Unit and Steering Mechanism, Section 2.23.1 removal. (Applicable Sections available at www.akbushwheel.com) Cleveland Maintenance Manual AWBCMM0001-5, Section 300,3.A(3).. (Go to �Literature�, �Maintenance Manual�) Required Parts: Alaskan Bushwheel® Beaver Tailwheel Fork Assembly (ABI-DHC2-TWA) Alaskan Bushwheel® Heavy Duty Drag Link (ABI-DHC2-4) Alaskan Bushwheel® Axle Assembly (ABI-DHC2-2) Cleveland 40-70A wheel, Selected Tire & Tube 1. Remove Tailwheel assembly in accordance with DHC-2 Beaver Maintenance Manual (see Reference Material) section 2.23.1. 2. Disassemble in accordance with section 2.23.2. 3. Re-assemble ABI-DHC2-4 drag link & ABI-F3 Fork in accordance with section 2.23.3 assembly. 4. Install *selected tire & tube in accordance with Cleveland Maintenance Manual. (See Reference Material) *Tire selection is limited to 6:00 x 6 or 7:00 x 6 with stock main tires. After installation of Alaskan Bushwheel® 35"x15"x10" main tires under STC SA010158E, tire selection may include 8:00 x 6 or 8:50 x 6 (NOTE: 8:50 x 6 are recommended only for off-airport operations). 5. Install 40-70A Cleveland Wheel with ABI-DHC2-2 Axle assembly in accordance with ABI Drawing ABI-DHC2-TWA. Tighten locking axle nuts until there is a slight drag on the wheel when rotated. 6. Re-install tailwheel assembly in accordance with section 2.23.4 7. Lubricate in accordance with section 2.23.5. 8.
