This picture was taken during an intense storm that blew into Kamishak Bay on July 24, 2004. Friends and I were flying around Alaska on a Business/Pleasure trip in our airplanes when this storm put us on the ground on a little strip near Amakdedori Creek. 4 days and 3 nights with winds in excess of 70mph, we huddled in our tent. The JetBoil was a blessing. We cooked nearly all our meals with it. It is wind proof! The fuel efficiency surprised me. With our Mountain House dry foods from our survival kits we enjoyed a diverse menu in comfort. Wild Cranberry tea, boiled coffee, jerky soup, were some of the tasks this all around survival stove provided us. This unit is a must have for all outdoor enthusiasts.
